Ryan – aka Fighterjet2 (his TRUE screen name) – lives in Ottawa, Canada, and has been able to meet lots of hot women using his webcam in TRUE’s chat rooms.

“When you talk to someone on webcam, you seem closer to that person because you’re actually seeing the person,” Ryan says. “You’re seeing the person’s reaction; you’re seeing the person smile. You feel more connected to that person, rather then seeing a screen and typing away.”

Lately, he’s been racking up the frequent flyer miles, meeting girls in California, Florida and most recently, in New York.

“She was exactly as she was on the cam," says Ryan, who recently spent three days in New York City with a girl he met in one of TRUE’s chat rooms. “There were no surprises.”

He says that because of the webcam they felt like they already knew each other.

Is it love?

Only time will tell, but he says, “I’ll be going back [to NYC] next week end.”

Ryan also believes with a webcam there is less pressure to be someone you’re not, making it easier to break the ice.

“It helps to see people because lots of people can lie about themselves or put up a picture that totally isn’t them,” he says. “You know nothing’s fake [through videochat] you’re actually inviting other people who you don’t know into your life.”

And why is it worth opening your life up to complete strangers?

“You’ll receive more attention, no matter what, because you’re alive. A picture is only a picture,” he says. “If you’re the person without a cam and without a picture, you’ll have the hardest time kick-starting a conversation.”
